LimaDarliene J. Conaway, 76, died at 4:30 a.m. June 2, 2011.She was born Sept. 7, 1934, in Detroit to William and Alta Horstman Gassman, who preceded her in death. In September 1975, she married Don Sapp, who died May 2, 2003. On July 16, 2005, she married Charles Conaway, who survives.Mrs. Conaway graduated from Lima Central High School in 1952. She had worked most of her life. She was president of Welcome Wagon in the 1970s and business manager of Bill Ahl Buick and co-owner of Sapps Car Co. in the 1980s. In the early 1960s she was a runner-up in the Mrs. America Contest. For the past few years, she had enjoyed making flower arrangements.Survivors include two sons, David (Heather) EnYart, of Bend, Ore., and Michael (Kim) EnYart, of Plain City; two daughters, Mishell EnYart, of Dayton, and Melinda EnYart, of Lima; a stepson, Rodney (Renee) Conaway, of Wapakoneta; four stepdaughters, Mary Kramer, of Dallas, and Judy Hollar, Karen (Steve) Hollar and Tammarra McDaniel, all of Lima; and 14 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by a stepson, Charles Conaway Jr.; and a stepdaughter, Tonya Parsons.Services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Rob White, of First Baptist Church, will officiate.
