VaughnsvilleDale Edwin Foulkes, 82, died at 10:47 p.m. Feb. 6, 2011, at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center, Van Wert.He was born Oct. 17, 1928, in Vaughnsville to Lloyd and Stella Beam Foulkes, who preceded him in death. On Feb. 18, 1956, he married Mary Lynne Hopkins, who survives. Mr. Foulkes was a farmer and retired from Phillips ECG, Ottawa, after 26 years. He was an Air Force veteran serving four years in Enid, Okla., and received the National Defense Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal and the Air Crew Members Badge.Survivors also include two daughters, Katherine (Tony) Holbrook, of Tarlton, and Lisa (Martin) Ross, of Columbus Grove; a brother, Robert (Carol) Foulkes, of Columbus Grove; three grandchildren, Amanda Whitely, Logan Ross and Makenzie Ross.Services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. Elder Tim Sturgis and Elder Craig Marten will officiate. Burial will be in Truro Cemetery, Columbus Grove, with military rites.Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Nature Conservancy, Attention: Erin Neeb, 6375 Riverside Drive, Suite 100, Dublin, OH 43017; or Shawnee Community of Christ, 4399 Spencerville Road, Lima, OH 45805.
