Letter: Fire station closure brings undue worry

Any professional person in safety services realizes the first few minutes of any emergency and the response time are the most crucial to the outcome. With all the wisdom and knowledge of Mayor David Berger and his supporters, knowing the problems associated with the railroad crossing at Bellefontaine Avenue, why would you subject residents east of the crossing to the worry of possible delayed safety services? I wonder if Berger would have a different opinion if he and his family lived in that part of the city.
