New Hampshire, OhioRobert B. Wallace, 95, died the morning of March 19, 2011, at Otterbein Care Center, Cridersville.He was born Aug. 4, 1915, in Auglaize County to Curtis B. and Sylvia Bogart Wallace, who preceded him in death. On June 27, 1936, he married Lois Buffenbarger, who died Aug. 27, 2003.Mr. Wallace was a 1932 graduate of New Hampshire High School. He and his wife were restaurateurs, operating Wallace Restaurant, New Hampshire, Ohio, and the 151 Club, Bellefontaine, until 1954. He then joined the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local 372, Lima, where he was elected a business representative in 1964, and served until his retirement in 1980. He was a member of Masonic lodges in Waynesfield and Toledo and the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 54, Lima. He was an Army veteran serving from 1945 to 1946. He enjoyed oil painting and taught painting at Otterbein Care Center.Survivors include a daughter, Sharlene (Thomas) Bault, of Wapakoneta; a son, Gary (Beverly Blausey) Wallace, of Port Clinton; five grandchildren, Michael Bault, David Bault, Thomas Bault, Mark (Kristen) Wallace and Shelley (Douglas) Steinke; and 10 grandchildren.He was preceded in death by a brother, Neal Barton Wallace.Graveside services will begin at 10 a.m. today in Walnut Hill Cemetery, New Hampshire, Ohio.
