LimaRaymond B. Dorley, 88, died at 6:10 a.m. Feb. 18, 2011, at his daughter's residence in Bon Aqua, Tenn.He was born June 18, 1922, in St. Marys to Raymond L. and Marie E. Counaughton Dorley, who preceded him in death. On May 11, 1946, he married Joan P. Oen, who survives in Lima.Mr. Dorley was a graduate of St. John Catholic High School, Lima. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church. He was co-owner of The Pride of Lima Provision Co. and Keystone Meats. He loved playing golf and was a lifelong fan of Notre Dame football and the Chicago Cubs. He was a 4th Degree member of Knights of Columbus Council 2661 and also a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275 and American Legion Post 96. He was a former member of the Lima Exchange Club. He loved watching his grandchildren play sports. He was a World War II veteran of the Army.Survivors also include three daughters, Nancy Knight, of Lima, Diane Jackson, of Bon Aqua, Tenn., and Carole (David) Kessen, of Lima; a son, Dave (Linda) Dorley, of Lima; two sisters, Jean Holtz, of Lima, and Mary Eshman, of Annapolis, Md.; and 17 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death: by three brothers, the Rev. Paul Dorley, Patrick Dorley and Donald Dorley; and a son-in-law, Dr. Robert Jackson.Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Catholic Church, Lima. The Rev. David Ross will officiate. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery, with military rites by VFW Post 1275.Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Shawnee Chapel, where a parish wake service will begin at 8 p.m.Memorial contributions may be made to Lima Central Catholic Educational Foundation, P.O.
