GlandorfDennis W. Bockrath, 63, of Naples, Fla., formerly of Glandorf, died at 7 p.m. Aug. 7, 2011, at his residence, following a courageous battle with cancer.He was born April 14, 1948, in Lima to Thomas and Mary Margaret Maas Bockrath. His father preceded him in death. His mother survives in Glandorf. On Dec. 15, 1986, he married Karen Price, who survives in Naples, Fla. Mr. Bockrath worked at DeVoe Automotive, Naples, Fla., and had worked at Philips Display Components, Ottawa, for more than 37 years. He loved working outdoors, fishing and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 63, Ottawa, the Kalida Fish & Game, Philips Quarter Century Club, and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2234 and a social member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9142, both in Ottawa.Survivors also include 10 children, Steven (Becky) Bockrath, of Pandora, Mark Bockrath, of Glandorf, Jason (Wonja) Bockrath, of Dexter, Mich., Chad (Bethany) Bockrath, of Indianapolis, Jason (Beth) Becker, of Naples, Fla., Jennifer (Orlando) Amador, of Columbus, Rachel Becker, of Delphos, Diana (Shannon) Kohli, of Ottawa, Denise (Eddie Leal) Bockrath, of Glandorf, and Dennis (Holly) Bockrath Jr., of Ottawa; 25 grandchildren; three brothers, Larry (Janet) Bockrath, of Glandorf, Allan (Kathy) Bockrath, of Lansing, Kan., and Joseph (Lisa) Bockrath, of Glandorf; four sisters, Shirley (William) Mayberry, of Columbus Grove, Karen (Mike) Ailer, of Rockport, and Brenda (Dennis) Closson and Kris (Charles) Warnimont, both of Glandorf; his mothers-in-law, Janice Price, of Naples, Fla., and Kathleen Price, of Key Colony Beach, Fla.; three brothers-in-law, Tommie A. (Virginia) Price and David (Donna) Price, both of Fort Jennings, and David Schumacker, of Ottawa; and a sister-in-law, Susan (Grant) Brosseau, of Naples, Fla.He was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Schumacker; and his father-in-law, Tommie E. Price.Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf. Father Jim Miller will officiate.
