Lima Senior snags TRAC victory in boys hoops

TOLEDO — Lima Senior improved to 6-2 on the season with a 70-39 Three Rivers Athletic Conference victory over Toledo Central Catholic on Tuesday.

Xavier Simpson and Elijah Pughsley had 18 points each and Reuben Flowers scored 13 for Lima Senior.

Wapakoneta 45,

New Knoxville 43

WAPAKONETA — Wapak outscored New Knoxville 13-9 in the final quarter to get the victory. Corey Crawford had 12 points and Kodi Morgan scored 11 for Wapak. Andrew Arnett led New Knoxville with 15 points.

Allen East 74, Ridgemont 38

HARROD — Luke Perkins (17), Caleb Smelcer (16), Spencer Miller (15) and Jacob Sherrick (14) all scored in double digits for Allen East. Corey Eversole led Ridgemont with nine points.

ROCKFORD — Emilee Meyer and Caitlyn Propst had 15 points each for Spencerville. Kayle Heckler had 15 points and Lydia Heindal and Sarah Gehron scored 10 each for Parkway.

PERRY TOWNSHIP — Courtland Fowler had 12 points for Perry.

VAN WERT — Hannah McCleery had 16 points and Julia Thatcher scored 11 for Lincolnview.

MILLER CITY — Cassie Niese had 13 points and Amanda Simon scored 12 for Miller City.

DOLA — Holly Wilson had 12 points and Michaela Curtis scored 11 for Hardin Northern.

PAULDING — Emma Kohn (18), Erin Marrow (14), Ally Jackson (10) and Alexis Dowdy (10) all scored in double digits for Van Wert. Faith Vogel led Paulding with 13 points.

ARLINGTON — Emily Patton had 21 points and Shelby Spradlin scored 20 for USV.

Ottoville 59, Pandora-Gilboa 22

PANDORA — Lisha Honigford had 16 points and Annie Lindeman scored 11 for Ottoville. Lindsay Macke led Pandora-Gilboa with 12 points.


Elida wins 2

SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP — Elida moves to 12-0 overall and 5-0 in the Western Buckeye League with victories over St Marys 44-27 and Shawnee 57-18 Tuesday night.

ONU 21, Heidelberg 12

TIFFIN — Top-ranked Cody Lovejoy (285 pounds) got a first period pin over third-ranked Nino Majoy in the final bout of the night to lead Ohio Northern to a victory at No. 26-ranked Heidelberg in the Ohio Athletic Conference opener for both teams at Sieberling Gymnasium.

The Polar Bears improved to 13-3 and while the Student Princes fell to 7-10.




Lima Senior High football player Khiry Smith-Williams, who played guard this past season, has verbally committed to play at Division III Wittenburg University.
