LCC falls to Versailles in overtime

VERSAILLES — Versailles went on a 10-0 run at the beginning of overtime to beat Lima Central Catholic 68-56 on Saturday night in boys basketball.

Michigan State recruit Kyle Ahrens scored 31 points, 21 of them in the second half, to lead the Tigers (9-2). His brother, Justin Ahrens, had 15 points and Jace Barga scored 10.

Tre Cobbs (17 points), Josh Dixon (13 points) and Dantez Walton (11 points) led LCC (10-1), which saw a 20-game winning streak end.

Columbus Grove 60,

Leipsic 56

LEIPSIC — Jace Darbyshire had 25 points to lead Columbus Grove. Jordan Brown had 18 points and Isaiah Lomeli scored 11 for Leipsic.

Delphos St. John’s 53,

DELPHOS — Tyler Conley had 15 points and Alex Odenweller scored 12 for St. John’s. Jaden O’Neal led Shawnee with 16 points.

BLUFFTON — Levi Kistler had 11 points to lead the host Pirates. Austin Kehres had 12 points for Fort Jennings.

BATH TOWNSHIP — Zach Goecke had 22 points and Dakota Prichard and Mason Mourse scored 17 each for Spencerville. Andrew Renner had 30 points and Chase Clark scored 10 for Bath.

COVINGTON — Carson Manger had 23 points and Deion Hoehne scored 10 for the visiting Cardinals.

MCGUFFEY — Cameron Parker (13), Lane Hurley (12) and Zach Rinser (10) all scored in double digits as Upper Scioto Valley moved to 9-1 on the season. Andrew Stump led Hardin Northern with 15 points.
