Putnam County Common Pleas Court

Jan. 2

Thomas A. Bishop, 32, 2275 Brentlinger Road, Harrod, was sentenced to 15 days in jail for violating the terms of supervision. The violations include snorting oxymorphone hydrochloride, possessing drug paraphernalia, failing to signal a lane change, driving without a valid license and failing to report his arrest by the Lima Police Department on Nov. 12, 2014. He was given credit for 12 days served, must undergo drug testing and an intensive outpatient program. His operator’s license was suspended for six months.

Jan. 5

Dawn M. Laytart, Pandora, and David M. Laytart Jr., Columbus Grove, were granted a dissolution of marriage. They were married June 26, 1999, in Columbus Grove, and have three children.

Jan. 8

Marcos L. Flores, 39, 206 Vidette St., Columbus Grove, was sentenced to 36 months in prison for felonious assault (attempt), with credit for 107 days served. He was also sentenced to 180 days jail for violating a protection order. That sentence was suspended and a charge of domestic violence was dismissed.

Larry G. Lamb, 71, 900 Buckeye Road, Lima, was sentenced to 18 months in prison for attempted theft from an elderly and 12 months in prison for forgery. The sentence was ordered to be served consecutive and he was given credit for one day served. A charge of theft of firearms was dismissed.

Rae-Ann Sanders, Cloverdale, was granted a divorce from Benjamin J. Sanders, Ottawa. They were married Oct. 22, 2005, in Fort Jennings, and have two children.

Jan. 9

Luis M. Rocha, 24, 1570 N. Perry Street, Lot 18, Ottawa, was sentenced to the WORTH Center for violating the terms of supervision. The violation included using cocaine on Dec. 22, 2014. His driver’s license was suspended for 12 months and he must obtain employment.

Putnam County Municipal Court dispositions

Jan. 5

Mark S. Seibert, II, 33, 304 W. Rice St., Continental, charged with domestic violence, a felony, bound over to common pleas court.

Kelsey Cole, 21, 622 Enterprise St., Leipsic, pleaded guilty to first-offense OVI. Sentence: 180 days jail, 177 days suspended, $750 fine, $375 suspended, three days jail suspended upon completion of DIP, and complete assessment at Pathways Counseling Center. She also pleaded guilty to another charge of OVI. Sentence: 180 days jail, 175 days suspended, $750 fine, $375 suspended. Charges of underage possession, failure to maintain control, and stopping after accident were dismissed.

Chad M. Williams, 24, 656 N. Washington St., Van Wert, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of physical control under the influence of alcohol. Sentence: 180 days jail, 177 days suspended, $750 fine, $375 suspended, one-year license suspension, three days jail suspended upon completion of DIP. A charge of failure to control was dismissed.

Jan. 6

April L. Sprouse, 29, 115 N. First St., Oakwood, charge with escape, a felony, bound over to common pleas court.

Andrew G. Rump, 26, 6781 State Route 115, Continental, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of second-offense reckless operation. Sentence: Four points, 30 days jail, 28 days jail suspended, $250 fine, one-year license suspension. Charges of second-offense OVI and lanes of travel were dismissed.

Terry J. Schroeder, 53, 1037 W. Main St., Ottawa, pleaded guilty to second-offense OVI. Sentence: Six points, 180 days jail, 60 days suspended, $1,000 fine, $400 suspended, three year license suspension, complete assessment at Pathways Counseling Center. A charge of open container was dismissed.

Brandon M. Bauer, 29, Box 530, Continental, pleaded guilty to second-offense OVI. Sentence: Six points, 180 days jail, 60 days suspended, $1,000 fine, $400 suspended, five-year license suspension and complete assessment at Pathways Counseling Center. Charges of disorderly conduct, and failure to control were dismissed.

Juan A. Pena, 35, 504 W. Main St., Belmore, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of menacing. Sentence: 30 days jail, 28 days suspended, $150 fine.

Jan. 8

Ronald E. Brecht, 56, 1350 N. Locust St., Apt. 404, Ottawa, charged with misuse of a credit card, a felony, bound over to common pleas court.

Kyle L. Karhoff, 21, 25561 Road R, Fort Jennings, pleaded no contest to an amended charge of OVI and was found guilty. Sentence: Six points, 180 days jail, 177 days suspended, $750 fine, $375 suspended, one-year license suspension and credit for three days jail upon completion of DIP. A charge of failure to control was dismissed.
