CridersvilleAmos R. Tucker, 80, died at 11:13 p.m. April 9, 2012, at his residence.He was born June 20, 1931, in Marting, W.Va., to James Edward and Nina G. Thompson Tucker, who preceded him in death. On May 24, 1958, he married Shelby Jean Sebers, who survives in Cridersville.Mr. Tucker retired from Fruehauf Trailer, Delphos. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Lima Missionary Baptist Church for 45 years, which he loved dearly. He was a member of the Tri-State Gun Club and was always looking for a unique gun or knife to trade. He enjoyed going to garage sales and talking to people. His family was very important to him and he especially treasured time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Survivors also include a son, Paul (Lisa) Tucker, of Cridersville; a daughter, Teresa Iler, of Elida; three grandchildren, Greg, Shelby and Cody; three great-grandchildren, Aiden, Gavin and Mya; a brother, Charles Tucker, of Dixie, W.Va.; and a sister, Virginia Gay Burleson, of West Virginia.He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Jim Iler, who died May 17, 2010; two brothers, Ray and Bob Tucker; and three sisters, Myrtle Pritt, Elva Williams and Anna Lou Auxier.Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Lima Missionary Baptist Church. Pastor Terry Brock, the Rev. Don Smith and the Rev. Denny Hunter will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville, and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.Memorial contributions may be made to Lima Missionary Baptist Church.Condolences may be expressed at
