Rhea J. Bechdolt

Rhea J. Bechdolt, 75, passed away at 2:35 p.m. March 27, 2013, at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born Sept. 22, 1937, in Harrod to Chester and Marcine Hanley Rex, and they preceded her in death. On Aug. 24, 1957, she married the love of her life, Roger L. Bechdolt, and he survives.

Mrs. Bechdolt is survived by a son, Scott (Janie) Bechdolt, of Elida; her grandchildren, Amanda, Dakota, Chloe and Canyon.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Peggy Wirt, Bob Rex and Gladys Shade.

Rhea attended Union Chapel Missionary Church. She had been employed for 10 years at City Loan and retired in 1998 from Williams Excavating. She was a member of the Harrod Happy Homes CCL She was a wonderful wife and mother, who loved her grandchildren very much and in return they adored her. She was a beautiful decorator, making the home she shared with her family a lovely and warm environment. She loved all kinds of music and enjoyed singing .

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Union Chapel Missionary Church. The Rev. Mark Bayliff will officiate. Burial will be in Salem Westminster Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Union Chapel Missionary Church 4869 Ada Road, Lima.

Arrangements are under the direction of Siferd-Orians Funeral Home.
