WAPAKONETA - The Tuesday sentencing of a Marine was postponed after the court learned he was still on duty at Camp Lejeune.

The court plans to sentence John Martens by video from the base in North Carolina. Martens has been convicted of criminal damaging, a second-degree misdemeanor.

Martens broke out a window July 29 at the Democratic headquarters in Wapakoneta. He punched the glass after drinking at a nearby bar. After the incident, he told people they had no idea what he saw and went through while on duty in Afghanistan.
