Columbus Grove Schools will be hosting a “Vaughnsville Throwback Night” on Saturday when the Bulldogs play host to Fort Jennings in boys basketball.

As part of the event:

• Varsity basketball players and cheerleaders will be wearing Vaughnsville uniforms

• The cheering block will be playing host to a “blue out” in support of Vaughnsville’s school colors

• Vaughnsville spirit T-shirts will be on sale

• There will be a display of Vaughnsville school memorabilia in the school trophy case

• An alternative sports program will be provided with background on Vaughnsville Schools

It has been more than 50 years since the Vaughnsville/Sugar Creek Local School District consolidated with Columbus Grove Schools which wants to use the evening to celebrate the tradition and legacy of the Vaughnsville/Sugar Creek School District. The district was in existence from 1904 to 1962.

More than 250 invitations have been sent to Vaughnsville Alumni and faculty. For more information, contact Superintendent Nick Verhoff at 419-659-4301.
