Heartbeat appreciates its donations

Heartbeat of Lima would like to thank the Lima area and the surrounding counties for the support that they gave us in 2014.

Heartbeat is a pregnancy resource center that was established in 1973. We provide free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, parenting classes and material aid. We are also there to assist clients who are interested in adoption.

Heartbeat does not receive any state or federal funding, so the donations that we received from individuals, churches, family foundations, fundraisers and volunteer hours are very important to us.

It is amazing to see how this support has helped us grow and develop over the past 41 years. In 2014, we had over 2700 client visits, 270 pregnancy tests and 120 ultrasounds.

We would like to give a very special thank you to WTGN and its listening area. It recently held a diaper drive for us and collected over 40,000 diapers! The donation of these diapers will help us tremendously. The participants in our parenting programs earn points that can be used to acquire items for their children. Through these programs, we distribute 3,500 to 4,500 diapers per month.

We would like to give a heartfelt thank you to everyone that has helped reach these families and provide hope, education and resources to them in 2014.
