LIMA — Hannah Beck, 19, of Lima, was among the performers of the 2014 Unity Christian Music Festival in Michigan.
The United Christian Music Festival has been underway for 14 years and this year’s 65,000 attendees set a new attendance record. Beck was one of six independent musical bands to be invited to sing.
Beck is the daughter of Dan and Jennifer Beck, of Lima. She has been singing professionally since the age of 16 and is preparing to record her third professional CD.

Coloring contest winners announced
WAPAKONETA — The United Way of Auglaize County announced winners of its 2014 coloring contest held in conjunction with the Auglaize County Fair.
Minster local schools sixth-grader, Brynn Oldiges won the 10- to 12-year-old division, Emme Hines, a kindergartner at Wapakoneta Elementary, won the 3- to 5-year-old division, and fourth-grader Mia Siebenaler, of New Bremen, won the 6- to 9-year-old division. Each winner was awarded a backpack and school supplies.
Springview Manor gives to Our Daily Bread
LIMA — The staff at Springview Manor, in Lima, raised $2,200 for Our Daily Bread. Springview Manor holds an annual fundraising event called Independence from Hunger Campaign.
Findlay native publishes poetry
FINDLAY — Findlay native, Kerry Trautman, has published a poetry chapbook called, “To Have Hoped.”
Trautman was born in Lima and is active in the Northwest Ohio poetry community.
Her poetry and short fiction have appeared in journals and anthologies such as “Mourning Sickness” and “Journey to Crone.”
