Lima Senior gets girls soccer shutout

LIMA — Kayleigh Twining and Morgan Marchal each scored a goal and teammate Essence Cowan made 19 saves as Lima Senior defeated Toledo Central Catholic 2-0 Wednesday in girls soccer.

Bluffton 3, Ada 0

ADA — Abbie Parkins, Brooke Koontz and Sarah Theisen each had goals and the Pirates’ Hannah Conley made five saves.

LIMA — Mackenzie Wills, Meredith Marshall and the doubles team of Tessa Coulson and Olivia Gonder won for the visiting Bulldogs.

OTTAWA — Miller City (173) defeated McComb (181) and Leipsic (184) at Pike Run. Cody Franks of McComb was medalist with a 40. Davis Lammers of Miller City and Alex Ellerbrock of Leipsic each shot 40.

Brad Clum has been offered and accepted the position of head varsity boys basketball coach at Allen East pending board approval Oct. 21.

LEIPSIC — Emily Ellerbrock had nine aces and 29 assists, Kelly Nadler had 14 kills and Shalynn Morman had 13 digs for Leipsic.

Crestview invitational

CONVOY — The 14th annual Fricker’s Lady Knight Volleyball Invitational is set for Saturday at Crestview High School. In Besides the host Lady Knights, in the field are Celina, St. Paul, Fort Recovery, Marion Local, Ottawa-Glandorf, Edison and Old Fort. Matches begin in both gyms at Crestview at 9 a.m. The admission price for the entire day is adults $5 for adults and $4 for students. No passes are accepted for this invitational tournament.

BATH TOWNSHIP — Shawnee won the team title with the Indians’ Taylor Blythe finishing as the race winner Tuesday at the Bath Invitational.
