Bridge named top agency

Bridge Home Health & Hospice has been named a top agency of the 2013 HomeCare Elite, a recognition of the top-performing home health agencies in the United States. This is the sixth consecutive year Bridge has been featured in this ranking.

Bridge operates offices in Findlay, Bowling Green and Tiffin.

Lima Convalescent wins honor

The Lima Convalescent Home won “best of festival” for the fifth year in a row during the Allen County Museum’s Christmas Tree Festival. The entry was entitled, “Penguins in Paradise.” The tree was designed and decorated by the activities department.

Each penguin ornament featured a hand-knitted scarf, made by the residents.

Lima Convalescent Home offers its tree for raffle, with proceeds used to sponsor a family in need during the holiday season.

PROMOTIONS

UNOH promotes King-VanDyne

The University of Northwestern Ohio promoted Dr. Robyn King-VanDyne to associate professor.

Dr. King-VanDyne began teaching at UNOH in March 2009. She holds a bacehlor’s degree in social work from Elizabethtown College, a master’s degree in human resource management, a master’s degree in administrative organization and management from Golden Gate University, and a doctorate in applied science and management from Walden University.

King-VanDyne is also the co-advisor for the UNOH chapter of the Business Professionals of America.

OTHER RECOGNITION

Magazine recognizes UNOH instructors

The University of Northwestern Ohio had four instructors recognized by Ohio Magazine as part of the publication’s Excellence in Education program.

Honored professors included Aaron Braun, John Kennedy and Nathan Mailhot, all in the area of applied technologies, and Mark Putnam, in English.

This recognition is awarded to Ohio’s top college and university professors as a result of being nominated by an administrator or colleague from a school. These professors are listed in Ohio Magazine’s December 2013 issue.
