Dr. Walter Paquin, an assistant professor of social work at Bluffton University, will discuss “Ongoing ‘American Apartheid’: St. Louis County 1990-2010” at 4 p.m. Friday in Stutzman Lecture Hall in Centennial Hall. The talk is free and open to the public.
Bluffton University’s Camerata Singers will reprise the tour program, “Sing Ye Praises with understanding,” in the annual Camerata Home Concert on Sunday. The concert begins at 2:30 p.m. in Yoder Recital Hall.
Justin McRoberts, from Shelter Covenant Church in Concord, California, will speak about “Sabbath — The Still and Isolated Road to Active Unity in Christ” during the 11 a.m. forum in Bluffton University’s Founders Hall on March 17.
Memorial High School’s College, Business and Technology fair is scheduled to take place Friday, Saturday and Monday at the high school from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Veronika Scott, a Detroit entrepreneur who developed a clever, multifunctional product that helps the homeless, and whose humanitarian organization employs them, will be speaking at The University of Findlay on Friday at noon in Old Main’s Ritz Auditorium. Scott is also the university’s keynote speaker at the first Teaching Symposium on Saturday.
Shawn Graves, assistant professor of philosophy at The University of Findlay, will address “Love, Justice and Global Poverty” on Monday at 6 p.m. in Winebrenner Theological Seminary’s TLB Auditorium.
Jay Labov and Richard Katskee will speak publicly, and conduct classes and workshops, at The University of Findlay this month as part of the Woodrow Wilson Visiting Fellows program. Both will participate in an open forum at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Shafer Library’s Learning Commons on the first floor. At 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Davis Street Building’s Room 102, Labov and Katskee will address the topic, “Teaching Evolution in the Sciences.”
Four Bluffton University art students will display art they have created on campus during their senior exhibition, through March 20 in the Grace Albrecht Gallery’s Sauder Visual Arts Center. A reception for the artists will take place from 2 pm. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays.
Ohio Northern University will conduct its fourth annual STEM Academy (science, technology, engineering and math) at Wilder Intermediate School in Piqua on March 19. After an opening assembly, each of the fourth, fifth and sixth-grade students will participate in five different mini-workshops. Each grade-specific workshop is 30 minutes long and will be conducted by two or three ONU engineering students.
