The Career Services departments at Rhodes State College and The Ohio State University at Lima are hosting a Spring Job Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday.

The newly chartered Omega Nu Chapter of Phi Gamma Delta at Ohio Northern University is hosting its annual Darbara Hull Gala from 5 to 10 p.m. April 11 at Colonial Golf Club.

Ohio Northern University will present a panel discussion on human trafficking in the McIntosh Ballroom at 6:30 p.m Wednesday.

The Ohio State University at Lima will host civil rights lawyer and advocate Michelle Alexander on campus for “A Conversation with Michelle Alexander” at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Martha W. Farmer Theatre for the Performing Arts in Reed Hall.

Three wind chamber ensembles will join the Bluffton University Concert Band to present a spring instrumental concert at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Yoder Recital Hall.

Dr. Cheri Larsen Hoeckley, professor of English and co-coordinator of gender studies at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California, will explore “Men, Women, and the Stories We Tell About ‘Us’” in Bluffton University’s annual Women’s Studies Forum on Tuesday.

The Ohio Northern University Department of Music will present an opera workshop performance featuring ONU vocal majors in Presser Hall’s Snyder Recital Hall at 8 p.m. Friday.

Ohio Northern University will host the Ohio Academy of History Spring Conference on Friday and Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m.

Ohio Northern University’s Pettit College of Law presents Lawrence Baum, professor emeritus of political science at Ohio State University, as part of the Dean’s Lecture Series in the Celebrezze Moot Court Room at 11 a.m. Monday.

Rhodes State College is hosting a Lunch & Lab for students interested in learning more about Medical Assisting and Respiratory Care careers. The event will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday. Students will have the opportunity to meet with faculty, tour program labs and enjoy a free lunch.

Area athletes interested in playing collegiate sports while attending The Ohio State University at Lima or Rhodes State College beginning in fall 2015 are invited to a Barons Athletic Open House from 12:30 to 4 p.m. Sunday in the Science Building on campus.

Expect the unexpected when hypnotist Sailesh takes the stage later this month at The University of Findlay. Sailesh will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday in the Alumni Memorial Union’s Multipurpose Room. The public event will be free for those with UF identification. The community is also welcome for an admission price of $5 each at the door. Rated PG-13, the show will not admit anyone under age 13. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. with general admission seating.

At its March 19-20 meeting, the board of trustees of The University of Findlay approved the awarding of honorary doctorates to James D. Houdeshell and Richard “Dick” Strahm.

The Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law Jessup team advanced to the semifinals of the qualifying rounds of the 2015 Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition but fell short of its goal of qualifying for the international rounds.

Ohio Northern University ranked among the top schools in the nation and in the state of Ohio for its students’ tuition return on investment, according to the recently released 2015 PayScale College ROI Report. Nationally, ONU ranked in the top third for private schools and ONU placed 112th for private universities out of 407 institutions for ROI. The newly released college report also looked at salary potential for graduates and ONU ranked 156 out of 550 private institutions to place in the top third nationwide.
