Youth basketball league to hold tournament

LIMA — The city of Lima Recreation Department will be holding the season-ending league tournaments for the Western Ohio Youth Basketball League beginning Saturday.

The league is comprised of 660 players in grades three through six from Bath, Elida, Lima Central Catholic, Lima, Perry, Shawnee and Spencerville schools.

Saturday’s games will be held beginnin at 9 a.m. at Heritage Elementary, St. Charles, St. Gerard, Spencerville and Wapakoneta schools. Games will also be played at 6:15 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at St. Charles and St. Gerard. The semifinal games will be held at 10 a.m. Feb. 21 at Lima Senior High School with the championship games to begin at 1 p.m. Feb. 22, also at Lima Senior.
