Student group makes donation

DELPHOS — Students from Delphos St. John’s participated in their Lenten Penance Service. The high school Liturgy Team’s theme for the year is “Pay It Forward.” One of the pillars of Lent is almsgiving. Sydney Fischbach, president of the Liturgy Team said, “We are to give of our time, talent and treasures. Lent is a time to help the less fortunate.”

The St. John faculty and staff have been blessed with the treasures of new life. Staff members have become new parents or grandparents to 14 new babies this year alone. Many have already been born and some we are anxiously awaiting their arrival. The group was able to make a donation of $434.63 to Heartbeat of Lima.

Elementary students recognized

CRESTVIEW — The March “Leader in Me” theme at Crestview Elementary School was “Think Win-Win.” Several Crestview Elementary students consistently used good balancing skills throughout the month by “considering other’s needs as well as their own”. As a result, some students were acknowledged for their efforts including third grade students Zoey Miller, Mahaylie Hampton, Adessa Alvarez, Brady Petrie and Logan Foudy.
