Putnam County Common Pleas Court dispositions

July 29

Alberto Gutierrez, Jr., 39, Putnam County Jail, pleaded guilty to trafficking in drugs (cocaine), permitting drug abuse, with specification (Ford Taurus), and trafficking in drugs (marijuana) with specification ($3,740 cash). He faces up to 12 years in prison, $27,500 in fines, and 18 months to 15 years license suspension. Bond was revoked while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 3 p.m. Aug. 21. He was originally charged with three counts trafficking in drugs (marijuana), two counts trafficking in drugs (cocaine). and four counts permitting drug abuse (motor vehicle) with specification.

Desmond L. Degen, 19, Adams County Jail, Decatur, Ind., pleaded guilty to theft of elderly person. He faces up to 12 months in prison and 2,500 in fines. Bond was continued while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 1 p.m. Sept. 10.

July 30

Richard S. Schneider, 28, 26196 Road R, Fort Jennings, was sentenced to the WORTH Center for violating the terms of supervision. The violations include entering and taking cooper wire and an air conditioner from an unoccupied structure in Van Wert County on June 18 without authorization of the owner, possessing heroin and instruments to administer heroin on June 30, and testing positive for opiates without a valid prescription. He must pay $3,900 restitution to Miller Contracting Group, Ottoville, and have only one medical care provider and one pharmacy.

Amisa Pettry, 29, 519 Barnett St., Findlay, was sentenced to 10 days jail for failure to pay child support. His total arrears was $4,575.65 as of June 30, 2014. Nine days jail was suspended provided he remain current in his payments and seek work.

July 24

Abel E. Alafa, 41, 212 N. Belmore St., Leipsic, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of menacing. Sentence: 30 days jail, suspended, $250 fine, complete assessment at Pathways Counseling Center and abide by recommendations, and placed on one year probation. A charge of criminal damaging was dismissed.

July 28

Dashaun L. Callahan, Sr., 44, 1147 N. Stevick Road, Elida, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of disorderly conduct. Sentence: $150 fine. A charge of drug paraphernalia was dismissed.

Jason A. Butler, 23, 625 E. Broadway St., Leipsic, pleaded no contest to criminal trespass and was found guilty. Sentence: $250 fine.

July 29

Joshua M. Dawson, 23, 20631 Road P, Kalida, pleaded no contest to assault and was found guilty. Sentence: 180 days jail, 177 days suspended, $250 fine, complete assessment at Pathways

Counseling Center and abide by recommendations, six months probation and banned from Wibbys Sports Bar for two years. He also pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct and was found guilty. Sentence: $150 fine.
