Wapak wins WBL championship

WAPAKONETA — The host Redskins closed out the regular season at 10-0 overall and 9-0 in the Western Buckeye League with a 31-0 victory over Shawnee on Friday night.

Cameron Lauck had a touchdown reception and TD run. Kodi Morgan had two touchdown passes and Keaton Metz had a TD run. Thomas Schoenlein had four tackles and Jacob Hartman had 3.5 tackles for the Redskins.

Dylan Hefner had 32 yards rushing for the Indians, who finished the season at 2-8 overall and 2-7 in the WBL.

Columbus Grove 21, Bluffton 6

BLUFFTON — Eli Schroeder 239 yards on 25 carries and scored three touchdowns as Columbus Grove finished the regular season at 6-4 overall and 5-2 in the Northwest Conference.

Clay Wilson had a touchdown run for Bluffton, which finished the year 3-7 overall and 1-6 in the NWC.

Lucas 27, Allen East 26

LUCAS — Spencer Miller ran for 164 yards on 20 carries and scored two touchdowns as Allen East finished its season at 3-7. The Mustangs also scored on runs by Caleb Smelcer and Logan Schick.

Marion Local 50, Delphos St. John’s 0

MARIA STEIN — J.C. Goettemoeller had a touchdown run and pass reception and ran for 131 yards on 17 carries as Marion Local moved to 10-0 on the season and clinched with Midwest Athletic Conference championship at 8-0. The Flyers’ Hunter Wilker had two touchdown runs and TD reception and teammate Dustin Rethman had a pair of TD passes.

Delphos St. John’s finished its regular season 4-6 overall and 2-6 in the MAC.

Ridgemont 50, Perry 42

PERRY TOWNSHIP — Ridgemont got its first Northwest Central Conference victory this season as the Golden Gophers and Perry each closed the season at 2-8 overall. Perry finished 1-6 in the NWCC.

Crestview 46, Paulding 8

PAULDING — Jake Lippi had two touchdowns and ran fro 132 yards on five carries for the Knights (8-2, 5-2 NWC). Teammate Preston Zaleski had a TD run and pass. Adam Deatrick had a TD run for Paulding (1-9, 0-7 NWC).

Hardin Northern 47, Crestline 34

CRESTLINE — Wes Schlatter rushed for 185 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries and Preston Ribley ran for 178 yards and two TDs on 14 carries for Hardin Northern (4-6). Will Poling had two touchdowns and Owen Bame had one also for the Polar Bears.

Kenton 34 Defiance 0

DEFIANCE — Trent Hites had 101 yards rushing on 16 carries, two touchdown runs and a pair of TD passes for the Wildcats (8-2, 8-1 WBL). Kollin Stollar had a TD run and catch to go with 107 yards receiving on seven receptions.

Colyn Blackford had a TD catch. Defiance finished its season 0-10 overall and 0-8 in the WBL.

St. Marys 39, Van Wert 14

VAN WERT — Isaac Fitzgerald had 278 yards rushing and four touchdowns on 47 carries for the Roughriders (5-5, 4-5 WBL). Teammate Dustin Howell had two TD runs. Colin Smith had 112 yards rushing and two TD runs for the Cougars (3-7, 3-6 WBL).

Versailles 20, Fort Recovery 0

FORT RECOVERY — The host Indians finished their regular season 6-4 overall and 4-4 in the MAC.

Arlington 42, Cory-Rawson 0

RAWSON — Cory-Rawson finished its regular season 5-5 overall and 4-5 in the Blanchard Valley Conference.

Minster 35, Parkway 15

ROCKFORD — Bryce Schmiesing had a touchdown run and punt return for a score and Evan Huelsman had 142 yards rushing and a TD on 30 carries for the Wildcats (7-3, 5-3 MAC). Justin Barna had a TD run and pass for the Panthers (1-9, 1-7 MAC).

Indian Lake 18, Benjamin Logan 7

LEWISTOWN — Hunter Vance had two touchdown runs for Indian Lake (5-5)
