Allen East’s Neeley throws no-hitter

HARROD — Erik Neeley threw a no-hitter as Allen East (7-0) defeated New Knoxville (2-3) 9-0 Saturday as part of a doubleheader sweep.

In seven innings of work, Neeley (3-0) had 15 strikeouts and allowed only one walk. In the second game, Cody Musselman got the victory and hit a homer as did teammate Brent Wilson. The Mustangs’ Coleton Schilling went 5-for-5 on the day with two doubles and four RBIs. Musselman also had three RBIs in the second game.

Bath wins two

BATH TOWNSHIP — Taren Sullivan gave up only one hit and one walk while striking out nine in five innings in the Wildcats’ 10-0 game one victory over Delphos Jefferson. Teammate Eric Jordan had two hits and three RBIs. In the Wildcats’ 6-1 game two victory, Bronson Best and Hunter Wise had two hits each. Best also had two RBIs. Delphos Jefferson’s Jace Stockwell had two hits.

Wapak sweeps

Lima Senior

WAPAKONETA — The Redskins’ Jake Bruns gave up only one hit, struck out six and walked none in the Redskins’ 14-0 victory over the Spartans. Teammate Adam Henderson had three hits, including a triple, and three RBIs. Lima Senior’s Khiry Williams doubled. Henderson and Chandler Kaeck had three hits each in Wapak’s 15-5 triumph.

Leipsic splits

LEIPSIC — After falling 10-2 in game, Leipsic came back with an 8-0 triumph over Hicksville. In seven innings, Leipsic’s Grant Rader gave up six hits and no walks and had eight strikeouts. Teammate Gavin Cup had two hits, including a home run, and three RBIs and Jordan Berger had two hits, including a double, and two RBIs.

Spencerville 16,

Waynesfield-Goshen 0

SPENCERVILLE — Winning pitcher Thad Ringwald (2-0) gave up three hits and no walks and had seven strikeouts in three innings. Teammate Jacon Meyer doubled.

Shawnee 5, Parkway 2

ROCKFORD — Winning pitcher Trevor Anderson scattered seven hits, walked three, gave up one earned run and had five strikeouts in four innings work. Teammate Trevor Anderson had two hits and two RBIs.

Elida goes 1-1

ELIDA — The Bulldogs topped Van Wert 6-4 but fell to Napoleon 8-4. Josh Bull had two hits and an RBI in the win over the Cougars. Max Stambaugh doubled in the loss to Napoleon.

O-G splits

HAMLER — Ottawa-Glandorf topped Patrick Henry 8-3 in game one but fell 10-6 in the second contest. Brad Croy and Drew Schierloh doubled for the Titans.


Bath wins two

Bath (7-0) topped Clyde 4-1 and 6-3. In game one, Alyssa Manley and Ellie Dackin both had two hits. Kimmy Reynolds struck out nine. In game two, Jenna Hollar, Julia Miller and Ellie Dackin all had two hits.

Spencerville sweeps

SPENCERVILLE — Tori Johnston threw a one-hitter in the Bearcats’ 18-1 win over Waynesfield-Goshen. Mackenzie Ringwald had two triples in the 15-2 game two victory.

LCC splits

LIMA — Lima Central Catholic defeated Fostoria St. Wendelin 3-1 in game one with Meredith Shepherd getting the victory. The Thunderbirds fell 8-1 in game two.

Leipsic 5, Ottoville 4

LEIPSIC — Haley Gerten was the winning pitcher.

O-G sweeps

OTTAWA — Stephanie Hemfling got the victory in Ottawa-Glandorf’s 22-0 game one win over Antwerp. Tasha Cass and Kate Kaufman each doubled in the Titans’ game two win.

Track & field

CONVOY — The Lima Central Catholic girls topped Crestview 65-61 while the Thunderbird boys fell 89-42.
