Regional Thanksgiving dinners

LIMA — For those unable to celebrate Thanksgiving at home, a variety of community dinners will be held throughout the region, giving residents the opportunity to not only enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal but also enjoy fellowship with neighbors and friends.


Trinity United Methodist Church, 137 N. Pratt St.

11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Served by Tri-R-Guns and the Ron Deatrick family, this free dinner is open to anyone who would otherwise be alone on the holiday or to families looking to celebrate together. While there is no charge, attendees have the option to donate canned food items to the Ottawa Food Pantry.


St. Joseph Catholic Church, 101 W. Pearl St.

11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This community dinner includes all the trimmings of a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. There is no cost to attend and carryouts will be available after 1 p.m. For more information, contact the church at 419-738-2115.


Celina High School; Franklin Elementary School, Montezuma; St. Marys High School

11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

A community dinner will be held at all three locations with a traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings. There will also be entertainment during the dinner, and home-bound deliveries and carry home dinners will be available after noon. For home delivery in Celina, call 419-586-3201.
