Bluffton scores winning run on wild pitch

BLUFFTON — Aaron Young scored on a wild pitch with the bases loads in the bottom of the ninth to complete a Bluffton comeback for an 11-10 victory Thursday against Albion College.

The Beavers had trailed 8-4. Bluffton, which has won five in a row, improved to 7-4 while the Britons dipped to 4-6 on the season.

ONU tops Heidelberg

in women’s tennis

TIFFIN — The Ohio Northern women’s tennis team defeated Heidelberg by a 9-0 score to win its Ohio Athletic Conference opener Thursday afternoon.

ONU moved to 7-2 overall and 1-0 in the OAC, while Heidelberg fell to 3-6 and 0-1 in the OAC.

The victory also pushed Northern’s winning streak in OAC regular season matches to 28.
