A writer claims the $10 billion spent on General Motors was wasted and Ford could operate if General Motors and Chrysler went bankrupt. You can’t make cars without parts and the parts companies said they couldn’t stay in business with only one major manufacturer.
Is the writer as concerned about the $14 billion we give oil companies each year in the way of tax forgiveness? That is $140 billion every 10 years. Have you filled your car lately? Do you really think they need this handout?
How about the tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires that Jim Jordan and this Republican Congress want to make permanent?
And on top of the giveaways to rich companies and individuals, they propose a Medicare “voucher” system that says you get money for private insurance, then when that is exhausted you pay the balance and on top of that, severe cuts to Meals on Wheels.
These guys are all heart!
