LIMA — Bob Evans Farms Foods showed a nine percent increase in side-dish production, a number which could reflect on the local plant that produces the dishes.
The number are according to a quarterly earnings report from the company, released Wednesday.
Bob Evans Farms Foods, the manufacturing division of the company, netted $92.1 million in sales. The company’s report also states that plant efficiencies improved.
“At BEF Foods, we are well positioned to meet our customers’ needs during the peak holiday selling season,” according to a statement from CEO Steve Davis. “We are also continuing our efforts to improve the operating efficiency of our plants.”
Overall, the company netted $333.3 million of sales in quarter two, an increase of .2 percent compared to the past year.
“Performance at Bob Evans Restaurants and BEF Foods continues to improve as we leverage the recent multi-year investment programs in both businesses,” according to Davis’ statement.
