Spencerville shuts out Ada

SPENCERVILLE — Zach Goecke ran for 114 yards on 15 carries and rushed for three touchdowns as Spencerville defeated Ada 42-0 in a Northwest Conference game Saturday that had to be postponed Friday night due to lightning.

The other Bearcats touchdowns came on a Dakota Prichard 7 yard reception from Mason Nourse, a 1 yard run by Trevor Michael and a 3 yard run by Keaton Lotz.

Elida 42, Defiance 28

DEFIANCE — Elida’s Logan Alexander had 234 yards rushing and had five touchdown runs in a Western Buckeye League matchup.

Columbus Grove 46, Allen East 21

COLUMBUS GROVE — The Bulldogs’ Reid Stechschulte had four touchdown runs and teammate Joey Warnecke had a TD run and rushed for 161 yards. Spencer Miller had a 25 yard touchdown reception and returned a kickoff 91 yards for Allen East.

Toledo Scott 38, Perry 12

PERRY TOWNSHIP — Perry’s Plummie Gardner threw touchdown passes of 20 and 65 yards to R.J. King, who finished with 115 yards receiving.

Crestview 34, Hicksville 20

HICKSVILLE — Preston Zaleski ran for 184 yards, scored two touchdowns and passed for another for the Knights. Teammate Malcolm Oliver rushed for 160 yards and also had two TDS.

Van Buren 9, Bluffton 7

VAN BUREN — Sam Crisp caught a 5-yard touchdown pass from Mitchell Ault for the Pirates’ touchdown. Ault finished with 207 yards passing.

Coldwater 26, Bishop Hartley 14

COLUMBUS — Kraig Schoenherr had 143 yards receiving and two touchdown receptions for the Cavaliers.

Celina 34, Bath 0

CELINA — Caleb Hoyng ran for two touchdowns.

Wapakoneta 15, Kenton 14

KENTON — Cameron Lauck caught a 2-yard touchdown pass from Kodi Morgan with 6 seconds remaining to give the Redskins the WBL victory.
