Putnam County Common Pleas Court dispositions

Aug. 22

Mackenzie L. Basham, 20, 1855 N. Cole St., Apt. 71, Lima, was sentenced to seven years in prison for burglary. She was given credit for two days served and the sentence was ordered to be served concurrent with an Allen County case. She must pay restitution of $1,000.

Aug. 26

Shannon M. Peters, Fort Jennings, was granted a divorce from Steven C. Peters, Spencerville. They were married May 29, 2010, in Mandale, and have one child.

Aug. 27

Jayden E. Bess, 19, 1235 N. Defiance St., Ottawa, pleaded guilty to receiving stolen property. He faces up to 12 months in prison and $2,500 in fines. Bond was continued while a presentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 2 p.m. Sept. 22.

Melody R. Leap, Ottawa, was granted a divorce from Travis J. Leap, Ottawa. They were married Feb. 14, 2013, in Ottawa, and have no children.

Aug. 28

Alberto Gutierrez Jr., 39, Putnam County Jail, was sentenced to eight years in prison for trafficking in drugs (cocaine), one year for permitting drug abuse with specification (Ford Taurus) and 18 months on trafficking in drugs (marijuana) with specification ($3,740 cash). The first two counts were ordered to be served concurrent, but consecutive to the third count. He was given credit for 150 days served. The $1,400 seized at the house and a black four-door Ford Taurus were forfeited and his driver’s license was suspended for five years. He was originally charged with three counts trafficking in drugs (marijuana), two counts trafficking in drugs (cocaine), and four counts permitting drug abuse (motor vehicle) with specification.

Putnam County Municipal Court dispositions

Aug. 21

Bradley D. Nuveman, 19, 266 Carlings Ave., Ottawa, pleaded guilty to underage consumption. Sentence: 180 days jail, 177 days suspended, $200 fine, with credit for three days jail upon completion of DIP. He also pleaded guilty to an amended charge of operation without reasonable control. Sentence: $150 fine. Charges of OVI and turn signals were dismissed.

Aug. 26

Oscar D. Diaz, 30, 111 E. Center St., Leipsic, pleaded guilty to domestic violence. Sentence: 180 days jail, 165 days suspended, $100 fine, and no contact with victim for two years.

Aug. 28

Christina V. Ortega, 22, 921 N. Defiance St., Ottawa, charged with forgery, a felony, bound over to common pleas court.
