LIMA — The eyes of America will be focused on MetLife Stadium in New York this Sunday, as the Denver Broncos battle the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLVIII.

For those in the Lima area who cannot make the trip out east, there are some local options for catching the big game:

•Westgate Lanes, located at 721 N. Cable Rd., will be hosting a Super Bowl party from 5:30 p.m. until the end of the game. Football fans will enjoy unlimited bowling and shoe rental while watching the game on the alley’s big screens. Lanes are limited to a minimum of four and a maximum of six people. All-you-can-eat pizza, cheese bread, meatballs and soft drinks will be available. The cost is $12 per person, and advance registration is required by calling 419-227-7231. Payment is required at the time of reservation.

•J’s American Pub, located in Lima at 1939 Roschman Ave. and 2307 Spencerville Rd. and in Celina at 2001 state Route 703, is holding a jersey giveaway at all three locations Super Bowl Sunday. For every $2.50 spent throughout the day on any food or drinks, customers will receive a point. The individual with the most points will receive his or her choice of either a Denver Broncos or Seattle Seahawks jersey.

•On a different note, the Lima Area Chapter of the American Guild of Organists will perform a Super Bowl recital at 3 p.m. at Market Street Presbyterian Church. A variety of music, both sacred and secular, will be played during the recital. Organ solos and duets, as well as piano and organ duets, will be performed, including an organ duet of “The Stars and Stripes Forever.” The recital will last an hour, giving those in attendance time to watch the game Sunday evening. The event is free, but donations will be accepted.
