Here is a look at some of the top events involving Lima area teams in the next few days.

Crestview (16-1, 6-0 Northwest Conference) at Allen East (12-5, 6-0 NWC)

When: 7:30 p.m. today

Crestview went on the road Tuesday and defeated Celina in a nonconference game, 44-34. Emily Bauer led the Knights with 16 points.

In Crestview’s last Northwest Conference game, Thursday against Spencerville, the Knights won 54-42. Bauer led the Knights with 19 points, 12 rebounds, five assists and four blocks. Lindsey Motycka poured in 18 points and had five boards.

Allen East is coming off a 50-44 win over Columbus Grove in last Thursday’s NWC matchup at Columbus Grove. Kaycee Rowe led the Mustangs with 17 points. London Richardson scored 11 points and Carly Clum added 10 for Allen East.

Odds and ends: This game needs no explanation. Both teams come into today’s game undefeated in the NWC with just one more week of conference play.

The Brass Tacks: This should be a very hard-fought defensive game.

Elida (13-3, 5-1 Western Buckeye League) at Ottawa-Glandorf (11-5, 4-2 WBL)

When: 7:30 p.m. Friday

Elida is coming off a 60-53 road victory over Kenton this past Friday. Dakota Mathias led the Bulldogs with 25 points, while teammate Louis Gray added 12.

Ottawa-Glandorf slipped past Wapakoneta on the road this past Friday 56-50. Noah Bramlage led the Titans with 14 points and teammate Brad Recker scored 13 points, including four 3-pointers. On Saturday, Ottawa-Glandorf defeated Napoleon 48-37 in nonleague action.

Odds and ends: This is a pivotal game for both teams. Heading into this week’s WBL action, Defiance, Bath, Elida and Celina are all tied for first place with one league loss.

The Brass Tacks: This has always been a tough WBL matchup over the years.

Lima Central Catholic (13-2) at Elida (13-3)

When: 7:30 p.m. Saturday

Lima Central Catholic rolled past Delphos St. John’s in Tuesday’s annual matchup, 57-33. Tre Cobbs led LCC with 19 points, including three 3-pointers. Xavier Simpson scored 14 points, while Dantez Walton added 10 points for the T-Birds.

Elida is coming off a 60-53 road victory over Kenton this past Friday. The Bulldogs have won five straight WBL games.

Odds and ends: LCC defeated Elida on Nov. 30 in the Tip-Off Classic, 77-62.

The Brass Tacks: This has always been a very competitive crosstown match-up.

Lima Senior (6-9) at Lima Central Catholic (13-2)

When: 7:30 p.m. Tuesday

Lima Senior fell to Findlay in Three Rivers Athletic Conference action Tuesday, 54-39. Brady Allen led the Spartans with 11 points, while teammates Ruben Flowers and Jay Thomas each added 10 points. Allen hit 3-of-6 on 3-pointers against Findlay.

Lima Central Catholic has been on a roll as of late. The T-Birds have outscored their past two opponents 131-65.

Odds and ends: Lima Senior leads the all-time series with LCC, 19-11. However, since the beginning of the “Lima Cup” in 2002-03, LCC holds a 6-5 edge.

The Brass Tacks: With the abundance of athleticism on both teams, this has all the makings of a very fast-paced game.
