Lincolnview earns trip to state finals

COLUMBUS — Linconview overcame a highly regarded Jackson Center defense to earn a shot at the Division IV state boys basketball championship, pulling out a 52-39 win at Value City Arena.

The Lancers (26-1) used a 9-0 run in the third quarter to pull away in a close game. They finished the game hitting 57 percent of their shots.

Chandler Adams scored a team-high 14 points for Lincolnview. Trevor Neate came off the bench to add 12 points, while Austin Leeth tallied 10 for the No. 1-ranked Lancers.

For Jackson Center (24-4), Brady Wildermuth scored 20 points on 7 of 10 shooting, but no other Tiger had more than seven points, and only four players scored at all.

Lincolnview faces Willoughby Cornerstone Christian, a 73-67 winner against Columbus Wellington School, at 5:15 p.m. Saturday for the Division IV state championship.
