Bath defeats top-ranked Marion Local in girls hoops

MARIA STEIN — Alyssa Manley (19), Maddie Dackin (18) and Cassie Best (12) all scored in double digits as Bath, ranked No. 5 in Division II, defeated D-IV top-ranked Marion Local 62-43 in girls basketball Tuesday night.

Bath improved to 17-1 on the season while Marion Local fell to 18-2.

ROCKFORD — Bailee Kuhn had 11 points and Abby Waddle scored nine for Elida. Kayle Heckler led Parkway with 11 points.

Kalida 44, Holgate 41

KALIDA — Allison Recker (16), Jackie Gardner (12) and Kylie Osterhage (10) all scored in double digits for Kalida.

Coldwater 49, Wapakoneta 42

WAPAKONETA — Sarah Kanney had 14 points and Brooke Welsh scored 12 fpr Coldwater. Riley Culver had 11 points and Carly Buzzard scored 10 for Wapak.

HAVILAND — Amber Logan had 12 points and McKenna Scott scored 11 for Continental.

CONVOY — Brady Guest and Kennis Mercer each had 12 points and Lindsey Motycka scored 11 for Crestview, ranked No. 10 in Division IV. Trisha Dennis had 14 points and Jenna Berry scored 13 for Celina.

MILLER CITY — Adam Drummelsmith (13), Adam Niese (12) and Jared Snyder (10) all scored in double digits for Miller City. Plummie Gardner had 14 points and Jakoby Lane-Harvey scored 12 for Perry.

LIMA — Justis Dowdy had 24 points and Hayden Ludwig scored 11 for Lincolnview. Michael Breaston and Joey Hutchison led Temple Christian with seven points each.

ADA — Ohio Northern got victories at 133, 157, 165 and 285 pounds but it was not enough as No. 13-ranked Baldwin Wallace edged the ONU 18-12 on Tuesday night at the ONU Sports Center.

The Polar Bears fell to 14-5 overall and 2-2 in the Ohio Athletic Conference, while the Yellow Jackets improved to 16-6 overall and 3-1 in the OAC.
