BILLY LAMAR HOLCOMB, 73, of Calhoun, Ga., and formerly of Lima, died Sept. 7, 2006, at his residence.
He was born Sept. 15, 1932, in Gordon County, Ga., to Wilburn and Aurie Kendrick Holcomb, who preceded him in death. He married Berta Sue DeFoor, who died in 1989. He then married Joan Hooper, who survives in Calhoun, Ga.
Mr. Holcomb retired from Westinghouse Corp.'s small motor division in Lima, where he was an electrical engineer, and from the A. O. Smith Co., Tipp City.
He was an active member of Calhoun First Baptist Church and a member of Faith Seekers Sunday school class. He was past grand master of the Grand Lodge of Ohio. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors also include a daughter, Annette (Gary) Huston of Michigan; and a granddaughter, Laura Sue Huston of Michigan.
He was preceded in death by a son, Randall Lamar Holcomb, in 2000; and a sister, Juanita Caldwell, in 1998.
Services will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at the Thomas Funeral Home, Calhoun, Ga. Dr. Bert Vaughn will officiate. Interment will be in Fain Cemetery.
