James A. Ingledue

James A. Ingledue, 90, of Lima, died at 7:30 p.m. March 26, 2008, at Wyngate Senior Living Community.

He was June 9, 1917, in Waynesfield to Arthur and Edna Brosey Ingledue.

Mr. Ingledue was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and also served in the Ohio National Guard. He was formerly a truck driver. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and he attended all the reunions of the WW II U.S. Army Air Corps 97th Bomb Group of the 15th Air Corps. During the war, he served as ground crew in the North Africa and Italy campaigns. He was a graduate of Harrod High School. He loved to fish, travel and trapshoot. He loved all animals.

Survivors include a sister-in-law, Martha Ingledue, of Lima; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Harry and Chuck Ingledue; three sisters, Mildred Sandy, Pearl Crist and Audrey "Dolly" Haas; and four nieces and nephews.

Services will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday at Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Shawnee Chapel. The Rev. Mark Tish will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home where Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275 will conduct military rites.
