Theresa E. Vitantonio

Theresa E. Vitantonio, 65, of Ocoee, Fla., died Dec 31, 2008.

She was born Sept. 20, 1943, in Lima to Wendell and Margaret Askins, who preceded her in death. She was married for 46 years to Michael Vitantonio.

Mrs. Vitantonio was a teacher for more than 34 years. While living in Ohio, she taught at Delphos St. John's in Delphos, and Cleveland Heights-University Heights City Schools. A Central Florida resident since 1996, she most recently taught at Premier Academy in Gotha, Fla.

Survivors include two daughters, Maria (Jack) Stanton, and Barbara (Randy) Centrella; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Natalie Centrella; two sisters, Mary (Richard) Alger, and Rebecca (Arnold) Osting; five brothers, Daniel Askins, David (Sally) Askins, Fred (Tina Marie) Askins, William (Janice) Askins, and Steve Askins.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy; and a brother, Ronald.

Friends may call at noon Saturday in the chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Orlando, Fla. Burial will follow at 12:30 p.m.

Instead of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lighthouse of Central Florida.
