Paul Edward Miller, 80, died at 9:06 a.m. April 6, 2008, at Bluffton Hospital.
He was born April 10, 1927, in Pandora to Edward and Mary Wenger Miller. On Aug. 28, 1954, he married EllenMae Werling, who survives.
Mr. Miller was a farmer and truck driver for Geiger Brothers of Pandora. He worked at Bluffton College and had also worked at Ohio State Correctional Institute in Lima. He was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Findlay. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9648, Columbus Grove. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific.
Survivors include two sons, Dean A. (Susan) Miller, of Dawsonville, Ga., and Jay E. Miller, of Sevierville, Tenn.; two daughters, Deborah J. (Neil) Pauff, of Lima, and Cheryl A. (Rick) Bayless, of Marion; a sister, Selma Diller, of Pandora; and eight grandchildren, James and Franklin Pauff, Amalie, Allyson and Lauren Bayless, and Brian, Kristen and Lindsey Miller.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Bluffton. The Rev. Robert Krueger will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Military tites will be performed by VFW Post 9648 at the cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
