K. DWIGHT KETCHAM, 84, died at 11:26 a.m. Feb. 14, 2007, at Lima Manor Nursing Home.

He was born April 19, 1922, in Hardin County to Lloyd J. and Christina VanSchoyck Ketcham, who preceded him in death. On July 18, 1942, he married June Mae Ketcham, who died July 18, 1990. On Dec. 21, 1991, he married Billie Collins Katterheinrich, who died Dec. 5, 2006.

Mr. Ketcham retired in 1980, as a firefighter for the City of Lima. He was a member of Lodge 706 Free & Accepted Masons, Chapter 49 Royal Arch Masons, Council 20 Royal & Select Masons, Commandery 14 Knights Templar, the Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton and the Lima Shrine Club. He was also a member of the Louisiana Naval War Memorial, the Allen County Historical Society, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275, and American Legion Post 96, the U.S. Naval Historical Society, Washington D.C., and a retired member of International Association of Fire Fighters Local 334. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors include two sons, Kenneth D. (Gloria) Ketcham, of Wapakoneta, and Roger W. (Cathy) Ketcham, of Dayton; a daughter, Jean A. (Donald) Souva, of Lima; a brother, Ronald L. Ketcham, of Virginia; and 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and three stepchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lloyd L. and William W. Ketcham; and two sisters, Elizabeth Louise Shafer and Nancy Sue Shafer.

Services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Lewis Eastside Chapel. The fire department chaplain will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, with military rites by VFW Post 1275.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
