KENNETH O. "BUSS" TRUESDALE, 86, died at 9:50 a.m. June 27, 2006, at Roselawn Manor Nursing Home, Spencerville.

He was born Aug. 26, 1919, in American Township to Raymond W. and Ida May Moorman Truesdale, who preceded him in death. On April 4, 1947, he married Laura A. Moorman, who died Feb. 9, 1991.

Mr. Truesdale had been a farmer and had retired in 1981 as a machinist from the Lima Electric Co. He had also worked at Neon Products Co., in the small motors division of Westinghouse Electric and for Dingledine Construction Co. He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6772, American Legion Post 191, both in Spencerville, and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370, Lima, and Aerie 691, Wapakoneta. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving four years in the European Theater. He had lived a short time in Wapakoneta, resided at Gardens Care Center, Wapakoneta, and spent the last two weeks at Roselawn Manor Nursing Home, Spencerville.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda A. (William E. "Bill") Hambrick of Spencerville; a granddaughter, Jennifer A. (Scott) Radcliffe; a great-grandson, Ethan Radcliffe of Gahanna; his special friend, Joyce Lovett of Wapakoneta; two sisters, Bernice (Stanley) Place of Creswell, N.C., and Patricia (Rex) Place of Wapakoneta; and a brother-in-law, Ed Moorman of Spencerville.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Garnerd and Robert Truesdale; and two sisters, Virginia Blockberger and Irene Moorman.

Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville. The Rev. David W. Howell will officiate. Burial will be in Hartford Cemetery, Spencerville, with military rites.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, where American Legion and VFW services will begin at 8 p.m.
