ALICE M. THOMPSON, 74, died at 11:30 p.m. June 22, 2006, at Cridersville Health Care Center.
She was born Feb. 11, 1932, in Lima to Edward J. and Theresia K. Brockert Brown, who preceded her in death. On Oct. 5, 1979, she married Charles Thompson, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Thompson was a forklift operator and grinder with General Dynamics and Dana Corp. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church. She loved and enjoyed spending time with her family and quilting. She was an avid race car fan and enjoyed traveling.
Survivors include a son, Jeff A. (Robin) McGinnis of Westminster; two daughters, Kathy M. Martin of Elida and Tammy S. Green of Cridersville; eight grandchildren, Jennifer, Kelly, Wesley, Bonnie, Mike, Wade, Scott and Joseph; seven great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Hannah, Alyssa, Kyle, Tyler, Kylee and Chance; a stepson, Randy (Jodi) Thompson of Lima; a stepdaughter, Laura Thompson; and five stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Wesley D. McGinnis; a daughter, Jennifer McGinnis; a granddaughter, Stephanie; five brothers, Clarence, Bernard, Edward, Leonard and Donald Brown; and four sisters, Agnes Hughes, Mary Thompson, Helen Morris and Theresa Cotrell.
Services will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Burial will be in Salem Westminster Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
