BETTY I. ANSPACH, 77, died at 11:10 a.m. April 12, 2006, at Lima Memorial Health System, surrounded by close family.

She was born Jan. 13, 1929, in Hardin County to Laurel and Gladys Hauenstein Reams, who preceded her in death. On May 9, 1948, she married Clarence "Gene" Anspach, who survives.

Mrs. Anspach was a member of Lafayette Congregation Christian Church. She loved fishing at Indian Lake and enjoyed a spirited game of dominos and cards with family and friends. While grateful that she is now in the comfort afforded by God, we will miss her greatly. Her strong faith was her foundation. She will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her for her kindness, character and courage. She and her husband had made Lima their home throughout their lives. They would have celebrated 59 years together next month had God not called her home.

Survivors also include two sons, Dennis (Nancy) Anspach of Edina, Minn., and Michael (Marcene) Anspach of Sylvania; a daughter, Diane (Al) Coffey of Lima; a brother, Morris (Mary) Reams of Lima; a sister, Lucille Williams of Lima; eight grandchildren, Chris (Haley) Jackson of Cleveland, Scott Jackson of Michigan, Kirstin (Paul) Ward, Heather (Chris) Lounsbury, Jonathan (Tiffany) Anspach and Matt Coffey, all of Lima, and David Webb and Michael Webb, both of Edina, Minn.; and six great-grandchildren, Nathaniel, Malena, Madison, Devon, McKenzie and James, all of Lima.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles, Merle and Kenneth Reams.

Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Lafayette Congregation Christian Church, Lafayette. The Rev. Brian Jenkins will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Chiles & Sons-Laman Funeral Homes, Lewis Chapel, and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Lafayette Congregation Christian Church.
