Lima

REFUGIO “CUQUITA” MARQUEZ, 77, formerly of Lima, died May 9, 2005, in Chihuahua, Mexico. She was born May 6, 1928, in Mexico. Mrs. Marquez taught in rural schools in Mexico for a few years. She was a member of the M e t h o d i s t Church in Mexico and she attended Fuente de Vida bilingual church in Leipsic.

She lived most of her life in Mexico, but moved to Lima in 1992 to live with her daughter, Amada Cooley, wife of Dr. David Cooley.

She is also survived by two other daughters, Marcela Berenger and Maria Nevarez, both of Mexico; a son, Antonio Aguina, of Mexico; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild; five sisters and one brother.

She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers, and a grandson, David Antonio Cooley.

A memorial service will begin at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at Trinity United Methodist Church, Lima. Paul Conrad will officiate.

Funeral services were held in Mexico on May 10.
