HELEN JANE PRICE, 82, of Cridersville, died at 10 p.m. Feb. 5, 2005, at Wapakoneta Manor.

She was born Aug. 10, 1922 in Patterson to James Henson and Verna Mae Smith Hamilton, who preceded her in death. On Oct. 14, 1945, she married Laurel "Pat" Price, who died March 15, 2004.

Mrs. Price had been a bookkeeper for Shawnee United Methodist Church, Rahrig Tree Company in Forest and Herzog Lime and Stone Quarry. She had been a secretary for the Forest school district and had been clerk for the Forest school board. She was a member of Shawnee United Methodist Church, the R & R Circle, Koneta Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, the Lima Emmaus Community and Lehman Zimmerman American Legion Post Auxiliary. She was a former member of the Ohio Farm Bureau, was a past president of the Hardin County 40 et 8 and had been worthy matron of Senate Chapter 70, Order of the Eastern Star in Forest.

Survivors include two sons, Karl Ray (Teri) Price of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Keith William (Lycea) Price of Nelsonville; a granddaughter, Malissa Hale of Van Wert; two stepgrandchildren, Kim Schmucker of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Smike Wallen of Los Angeles; a great-grandson, Logan Travis Hale of Van Wert; two stepgreat-grandchildren, Brooke Schmucker and Breeeana Schmucker, both of Fort Wayne, Ind.

Services will begin at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Shawnee United Methodist Church. Pastor Brian Bucher will officiate. Private family burial services will be held Thursday in Patterson Cemetery, Patterson.

Friends may call from noon until 3 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Shawnee United Methodist Church or St. Rita's Hospice.
