Ray Chaney

Ray Chaney, 86, of Bandera, Texas, formerly of Lima, died Feb. 10, 2010, in Richardson, Texas.

He was born May 1, 1923, in York to William Ray and Georgia Chaney, who preceded him in death. His beloved wife, Patricia Chaney, survives in Bandera, Texas.

Mr. Chaney retired in 1989 as general manger of Cannon Bronze, Keithsburg, Ill., and had served as executive vice president at Randall Bearings, Lima. He had worked 40 years in the bronze industry. More important than any business accomplishment was his relationship with his Lord Jesus. He is now absent from the body and present with the Lord.

Survivors also include two daughters, Melinda (Gail) Altstaetter, of Lima, and Nina Rae (Wayne) Fox, of Murphy, Texas; two stepdaughters, Judy Smith, of Bandera, Texas, and Jean Agosti, of Charleston, W.Va.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, June Hess, of Parkersburg, W.Va.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Marie Kemp, Helen Koerber and Jeanette Naylor.
