Letter: Van Wert Extension deserves voter support

First Posted: 4/19/2010

I am writing to show my support of the Ohio State Extension levy. I was involved in 4-H for many years, during which I gained friends, knowledge and experiences that I have been able to carry throughout my life and will continue to carry into the future. The countless projects taken, trips to the state fair, 4-H camp, club trips to Pine Lake and 4-H Club Congress all have shaped me to be the person I am today.

OSU Extension not only allowed me to be a part of 4-H, but it also gave me the opportunity to be a summer intern working closely with and learning from Van Wert County Extension Agent Andy Kleinschmidt. Through this internship, I also was able to work closely with area professionals as well as OSU professionals. The knowledge, professionalism and communication skills I learned helped me to excel greatly both in my college courses and my professional career.

Without OSU Extension, its staff, and 4-H, I would not have had near the positive experiences growing up that I did. Please vote in support of OSU Extension on May 4.
