Lucille A. Bracy, 83, died at 12:30 p.m. Aug. 2, 2010, at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton.
She was born Sept. 14, 1926, in Jenera to Carl and Hulda Reddick Wilch, who preceded her in death. On Nov. 19, 1955, she married John Bracy, who died Feb. 7, 2004.
Mrs. Bracy had been a nanny and had worked in the cafeteria at Bluffton schools. She enjoyed crafting, selling Longaberger baskets and baby-sitting. She was a life member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jenera, where she had been a Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed gardening, canning, crocheting and her grandchildren. She was a 1944 graduate of Rawson High School.
Survivors include two sons, Dave (Cheri) Bracy, of Bluffton, and Timothy Bracy, of Findlay; two daughters, Susan (Fred) Wiess, of Findlay, and Linda (Randy) Strahm, of Bluffton; 11 grandchildren, Benjamin Bracy, Jessica Bracy, Kristie (Chris) Ford, Angela (Charlie) Jolliff, Adam Bracy, Joshua Bracy, Jason Bracy, Danielle Wiess, Melissa Wiess, Kyle Strahm and Korey Strahm; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Lauretta Weihrauch; and two half brothers, Luther and Richard Wilch.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jenera. The Rev. Alois Schmitzer III and the Rev. Jeffery Bolwerk will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Bluffton, and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
