BLUFFTON — Rich Johnson is the newest member of Bluffton’s village council.
Johnson was appointed to the council during a special meeting held Wednesday and will be officially sworn in on Monday. He is replacing outgoing member Everett Collier, who recently resigned.
Johnson had previously applied for an open position last fall, a position filled by Phill Talavinia. Johnson has already turned in a petition to be on the November ballot.
“I am very pleased with the appointment and believe that Mr. Johnson will be an excellent council member,” Bluffton mayor Judy Augsburger said in a statement.
