Letter: Community support touched widow

First Posted: 6/25/2010

On April 10, some very special people held a benefit for my husband, Jim L. Murray. After three short months, glioblastoma brain cancer took his life. I greatly appreciate the generous donors for this event.

I would like to thank the organizers: Carl Doseck, of Botkins, Dale Duke, of Urbana, and Jeanne Botkin, of Ottawa. Also, I would like to thank the bands Hidden Assets, Southern Illusions and Bootleg for their musical entertainment along with DJ Duane and Van Horn Audio for keeping the program running.

I would like to thank each and every person who attended the benefit to make it a success. I know Jim enjoyed the day with family and friends. You all made his day very special. On his behalf, again, thank you.
