C. Annette Goetz, 84, died at 11:14 a.m. Dec. 31, 2009, at Lima Memorial Health System, surrounded by her loving family. She had surgery from a fall in her home.

She was born Jan. 4, 1925, in Waldren, Kan., to Leonard H. and Eunice Hildred Parker Kohlhorst, who preceded her in death. On May 11, 1946, she married Raymond G. Goetz Jr., who survives.

Mrs. Goetz was a 1943 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School and went on to work in the St. Marys Wollen Mills and later worked at the Ohio Decorative Products for 25 years in the paint room, retiring in 1987. She was a member of the Bowersock Brothers Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6772 Auxiliary and formerly a member of the Harry J. Reynolds American Legion Post 191 Auxiliary. She loved being with her grandkids, making sweets, puzzles, crafts and reading.

Survivors also include three children, Danny R. (Sue) Goetz, Elaine (Bob) Walker and Jeannine (Micky) Prine, all of Spencerville; 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; three siblings, Marlin (Martha) Kohlhorst, of St. Marys, Virginia (Jim) Wierwille, of Celina, and Leonard (Reba) Kohlhorst, of Findlay; and a sister-in-law, Donna Kohlhorst, of St. Marys.

She was preceded in death by two siblings, Dorothy Maxine Walden and Herbert Kohlhorst.

Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville. The Rev. John G. Medaugh will officiate. Burial will be in Wright Cemetery, near Converse.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where the VFW Auxiliary will conduct services at 8 p.m.
